About the House

Property has already been purchased and plans prepared for a new 4,800 square foot rooming house, offering twelve private units for chronically homeless adults in Durant. Each resident will have a safe and stable place to live with dignity — a room of their own, a door they can lock, and a supportive environment where they can begin again.

It's more than a building. The House of Hope is a stable, dignified home where chronically homeless Durant residents can live safely and rebuild their lives.

The house will have twelve private rooms, shared kitchen, dining, living, bathing, laundry, and work/study areas. The facility will also have two private offices where staff can offer personal care and guidance. Outside, there will be places to sit, cook out, and garden.

FLOOR PLAN

"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.

Psalm 127:1

It’s good to have dreams and plans, but the House of Hope will only become a reality through God’s continued blessing and guidance. He has already shown His goodness through the partners who have given their time, skills, resources, and—above all—their prayers, believing this work will lead to fresh starts and changed lives.

We ask you to keep the House of Hope in your prayers for our community. And if you feel led to do more, here are a few ways to give.
